The presenter was interested in prosthodontics and entered the department of partial denture prosthodontics at Tokyo Medical and Dental University to learn about dentures. There, he came into contact with digital dental treatment, sensed its potential, and began research in graduate school. His specialty is basic research on intraoral scanners in digital dental treatment. The recent market trend of increasing the size of the scan head of intraoral scanners was recommended by the presenter in his first paper.
