Jesús Martín-Fernández was born in Santa Cruz de La Palma, Canary Islands, 29 years ago. After his studies in classical guitar and composition, he earned a medical degree from the University of La Laguna in 2016. Then in 2017, he obtained his training position as Resident Internal Medicine in the specialty of Neurosurgery at Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital. Parallel to his training as a neurosurgery resident, he has obtained a master's degree in Neurological Oncology; Neurosciences and neurobiology of language; and Health Management from the University of CEU; while he is working on his doctorate in Neurosciences, in the field of functional magnetic resonance imaging and music in the University of La Laguna. He has published papers in prestigious international journals, and with a promising neuroscientific potential in Europe, he has his main focus in the following areas: intraoperative brain mapping in glioma surgery and neuroscience-neuroimaging of music
